Bramha Naad

I am a bit sad today... a li'll lost.. phases of the moon affect me more than anything under the sun I guess..

Well, I am of the opinion that as I go on writing I will be fine..

Oh by the way, did you hear about the Bramha Naad being organized in Noida? People living in the National Capital Region (NCR - Gurgaon, Delhi, Noida) could not have missed the huge and lovely banners all over the place..

Basically it is the Pranayam Dhyan Shivir (PDS) which has been organized with satsang and sitar performances. The event is scheduled from Nov 20th to 22nd.
About 1000 sitarists will perform together, I think they are all set for a world record..

I am definitely planning to be there.. rest is up to Guruji..

What about you?

Only Medicine? Don't think so..

This time, the experience is mine..

One day, while at work I started experiencing severe pain in the left side of the lower back.. I ignored it.. at least tried to. But the pain persisted, and went bad to worse.. I had to leave office and come back home, cause I could not bear the pain anymore. That is when my mom took me to our doctor - a homeopath.. The moment I told him the symptoms, he directed me for an ultrasound and his fear was correct - I was detected with two 8mm stones in the left kidney, and because they were trying to move I was experiencing the pain.

I was completely bed ridden for one week, was given terribly foul-smelling medicines (german), and was made to drink loads of water.. I actually lost a few kgs in a week! (an achievement for me in a normal scenario).

Anyways, the treatment progressed and the pain killers started working. Though I have complete faith in Homeopathy, I was forced by people around to at least take a second opinion from an allopath.

So after lot of discussions we decided to consult another doctor (this time an allopath). And, did he scare me? I was ready for the surgery immediately. All this while I continued with the homeopathic medicines, had loads of water, and avoided all that my doctor has asked me to. I had been taking the medicines for almost 25 days now..

The date for the surgery was decided. I opted for the cashless facility from the insurance cover to pay for the same. And then I discovered what a pain it is to get the insurance companies to pay for you.. Because the insurance was done through my organization, questions cropped up like - "When did you join the organization?", "Such big stones can never form during this duration, and hence we will not pay for this", "Do you have a family history of stones?"

Anyways, I reached RG Stone Clinic, with money in my hand, and a prayer in my heart - "Guruji, up to you, please handle this." I was taken for the X-rays to ensure the exact location of the stones. That is when I got a call from the Insurance company informing me that they have faxed a document to the hospital, and my claim has been sanctioned. The first thing that came to my mind was - "Thank you Guruji!"

While I was waiting for the X-ray reports, I was asked to come to the Urologist's cabin. He wanted to conduct another Ultrasound. And, guess what? There was NO stone! I was exhilarated and a feeling of gratitude took over..

I do not rule out the fact that Homoepathy worked for me.. but in less than a month, I got rid of the stones, the insurance was also sanctioned.. I feel it was a bit more than just the medicine..

By the way, whenever I come across anyone with a kidney stone, I definitely refer them to my doctor!

Bhaskar Mukherjee - Durge Nandini

Bhaskar Mukherjee enthralls audience at Rajdhani Mandir, VA

Does Snapping your fingers signify anything in the Art of Living??

One morning, sometime last week my husband woke up and asked me - "Does Snapping your fingers signify anything in the Art of Living??

At first I was lost and absent mindedly said no.. Then it dawned to me and I said - "Well yes, Living in the present moment!!, but why do you ask?"

If you have read my earlier posts you would know his response.. but for the benefit of those who haven't, he had dreamt about it!

Strange, isn't it? He has never done the course, does not know much about it, and yet he dreamt of one of the key points of the course. He dreamt that his Maths teacher from school is now and AOL teacher and is teaching them how to live in the present moment. Just the way Guruji snaps his fingers and cutely asks - "Where are you now?"

I am beginning to believe, that some day my husband is going to complete his Basic course in his dreams only.. And mind you, this also was a Thursday night (The day of the Guru)

- Jai Gurudev!

Chitra Roy - Guru Mat Pita

Guru Mat Pita, a beautiful bhajan by Chitraji on the Navratri eve of 2008..

Guruji also makes special appearances

No, not in a movie, but definitely in dreams. There are two people who have now gotten in to the habit of meeting Guruji in dreams, my sister and my husband! For your information, my husband does not belong to The Art of Living, nor has he ever met Guruji in his life (personally). To be honest, he did not even believe very much in Guruji until the following incident took place..

Here goes his story from disbelief to belief..

For the last six months, my husband was in the UK for a project assignment. One morning he called up and said, "Vanshika, Guruji came in my dream last night, and he made me believe that he is a a true Guru!" Well, you cannot imagine my happiness. Out of sheer curosity I asked him to narrate the incident.

In the dream, my husband saw that a fake Guru is being caught and beaten up, and Guruji is standing on a corner and smiling. He is looking at my husband and with his eyes he is saying, "Look, and you did not have faith in me... "

I had kept Guruji's snap in my husband's wallet before he had left for UK. On reaching UK, my husband had placed it safely in a drawer. After this incident, he placed it back in his wallet and carried it wherever he went.

The snap is now a permanent part of the wallet... and so is the belief, I feel..

More to follow soon....

Guruji Listens...

I believe, and I know many more people believe that Guruji listens.. Let me share my sister's experience with you...

My sister, Sarika, works in a US-based multi national organization. Recently, due to the market recession, her organization also started cost cutting in the form of employees. Many people lost their jobs, and it struck the panic button for all those who were left behind.

She got extremely worried thinking about the future prospects.

One Thursday night, she dreamt that she is crying, and suddenly she saw Guruji standing next to her room along with our mother and Swami Pragyapatji, and are having the followinng conversation:

Guruji is telling Swamji, "Her prayers have touched me just like yours."
Then he asks my sister, "Why did you not come to Bangalore, Sarika?"
Our mother replies, "Guruji, you did not call us this time.."
Guruji replies in his ever sweet voice, "It is your home, you are always welcome, my dear." Saying this, Guruji gets up to go.
Then Sarika says. "Guruji, at least give us your blessings!"
Guruji hugs Sarika and says, "My blessing are always with you," and goes away.

When Sarika woke up the next morning, she narrated this conversation to mom and me. We were pleased to hear that she saw Guruji. Next Thursday (just to let you know, as per Hindu mythology, Thursday is the day of the Guru), Sarika got promoted. Never in her wildest dream had she dreamt of getting promoted, specially when cost cutting is the order of the day.

But why not, after all Guruji had blessed her!

Let me know what you think about this incidence.
